Jamie Herring formed Herring Properties in 2000 to capture value in under utilized real estate in the region through adaptive reuse, new construction and planned development.

Herring has acquired, developed and owns approximately 1,500,000 square feet of office, industrial, retail and residential properties in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Major Projects include:

  • 3M tape factory: Redevelopment of the 80 acre factory and airport in Bristol PA. On this property , Herring constructed a new regional headquarters for Airgas Products (NYSE: ARG) of 250,000 sf, a new 70,000 sf for Goodyear and other tenants, and conversion of the factory into a 350,000 sf distribution hub for Pet Valu of Canada Colt Products ( previously DS Waters), and other tenants. Project is currently 100% leased.
  • 23 Orchard in Skillman: Redevelopment of the former CA Associates regional headquarters. Herring converted the 240,000 sf office building from a single occupant to multi-tenanted building with Johnson & Johnson as lead tenant; constructed a 1. 3 MegaWatt solar array that provides 45% of the buildings power; and, obtained approval for 160 town home community with a mixture of market and COAH housing that is currently being constructed by KHOV.
  • 281 and 277 Witherspoon Street: Redevelopment of former medical building and new construction of mixed use office and retail building on the site of the former Princeton Medical Center in Princeton.
  • 601 Ewing Street: Renovation of early 1980s facade and upgrade of atrium areas in the three building medical and general use office building located up the road from the Princeton Shopping Center
  • 400 and 500 Airport Corporate Park in Ewing, NJ: New construction of two office buildings on I-95, formerly Wachovia regional headquarters.

Prior to forming Herring Properties, Jamie was the head of real estate for RCN and prior to this, oversaw the Manhattan office for management and leasing at Jones Lang LaSalle.

He has a BA from John Hopkins University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is on the Advisory Board at the Arts Council (former board member), YWCA board member and PBTC board member.



Keith Fitzgerald is in charge of the day to day operations of their portfolio of office, industrial and residential properties. Keith, a New Jersey native, has an extensive and accomplished background in property management which extends over 20 years. As Senior Property Manager with Janez Group he was responsible for management of office, light industrial and residential properties in excess of 750,000 square feet. Prior to Janez, Keith was the Regional Property Supervisor, responsible for managing, leasing and maintaining over 130 residential properties, the suburban office portfolio, and several industrial properties for W. W. Reynolds in Boulder, Colorado.

Mr. Fitzgerald received a Bachelor of Arts in Food Service Management from Johnson and Wales College, Real Property Administrator (RPA) certification from BOMA International and obtained a California Real Estate License in 2011.

Susan Burton has worked for Herring Properties for 3 years. Prior to joining in 2007, she had twenty years experience supporting independent professionals and nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Burton received a BS in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
